HABEEB ADEWALE OLUMUYIWA ABIRU, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano State delivered in suit no. FHC/KN/CS/02/2018 by Honorable Justice A. L. Allagoa on the 23rd of September, 2019. The Respondents were the claimants in the lower Court and their claims were for:
i. $12,367.00 or N6,430,840.00 being the cost of the goods contained in the Respondents' three bags lost in the custody of the Appellant.
ii. The sum of $300.00 or N156,000.00 being the money paid to the Appellant for the first Respondent's trip to Cairo to identify her bags at the Appellant's invitation.
iii. The sum of N5 Million as general damages for economic loss caused to the first Respondent by the Appellant's acts and for physical and psychological suffering and public harassment and humiliation occasioned by the Appellant's action against the first Respondent.
