JUDGMENT

ARYENE (MRS), J.

Plaintiff claims against the defendant the following reliefs: 

a) Recovery of the sum of USD64,309.68 and EURO 7,508.56 being premium  due on 6 different insurance policies underwritten by plaintiff for the benefit  of the defendant pursuant to mutual agreement between the parties. 

b) Interest on all the policies listed in paragraph 4 (a) – (f) from their various  dates of inception till date of final payment. 

The facts as presented by plaintiff are that between 2010 and 2013, several  insurance policies ranging from motor insurance to plant all risks insurance were  underwritten for the defendant’s benefit. In 2011, defendant defaulted in paying the  premium. However due to the cordial relationship between the parties, plaintiff  continued to underwrite new insurance policies for the defendant and the latter also  renewed some previous policies. Defendant also made part payments in respect of  arrears owed on some policies during the period.
