JUDGMENT: 

The Wife- Petitioner filed this Petition against the husband - Respondent praying for a dissolution of the marriage celebrated between the parties under the Marriages Act 1884 – 1985 (CAP 127) in Accra on 18th December 2010.  

The Petitioner averred that she is a Ghanaian citizen currently domiciled in  Switzerland, while the Respondent is a dual citizen of Nigeria and United Kingdom. That there are no issues of the marriage and no proceedings have been instituted in any Court in respect of this marriage. The ground upon  which the Petitioner seeks a dissolution of the marriage between the parties  is that the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation. The Petitioner  alleged infidelity on the part of the Respondent and further, that he concealed  from her information that he had a child with another woman until she found  same out from his correspondence with the mother of the child, after which  the Respondent apologized.
