FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA PLC V. AMBASSADOR ABDULLAH ALI ALFA & INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

DANLAMI ZAMA SENCHI, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the Ruling of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja in motion No. FCT/HC/M/3082 delivered on the 5th day of February, 2014 by HONOURABLE JUSTICE VALENTINE B. ASHI.

The 1st Respondent (as Applicant) before the Trial Court commenced Garnishee proceedings against the 2nd Respondent and the Appellant (1st Respondent) at the Trial Court seeking the following Orders:-

(1) An Order of Court granting leave to the judgment/creditor/Applicant for the issuance of writ of attachment by garnishee Order on the Judgment debtors bank account with the garnishees.

(2) A Garnishee Order Nisi against the 2nd Respondent/Judgment Debt of N3, 000, 000.00 (Three Million Naira Only.)

(3) And for such other Orders that this Honourable Court may deem fit to make in the circumstances. (see pages 1-5 of the Record of Appeal)
