J U D G M E N T
On 12th December, 2018, the Plaintiff mounted this suit against the Defendant for the reliefs endorsed on the Writ of Summons and the accompanying Statement of Claim, which are as follows:
a) The recovery of the sum of US$28,000.34 being the amount outstanding as at 29th October, 2018.
b) Interest on the said amount of US$28, 000.34 at the agreed rate of 10% per annum from 29th October, to date of final payment.
c) Legal fees being 10% of the total sum due the Plaintiff at the date of final payment.
d) Costs, including filing fees.
The gravamen the Plaintiff’s claim is contained in paragraphs 3 to 10 of the Statement of Claim, a summation of which is as follows:
According to the Plaintiff on or about 11th November, 2014, she placed a six (6) months fixed deposit of US$15,798.00 with the Defendant Company at an interest rate of 10% per annum.
