JUDGMENT

AGBEVEY (MRS), J.

The parties who are both Ghanaians were married under Part Three of the Marriages Act 1885 – 1985 (CAP 127) on the 2nd day of February, 2013 at the Church of Pentecost, Mataheko District, Accra. The parties cohabited in Accra after the marriage. There are three (3) issues of the marriage namely Kelsie, Kayla and Keeon Arhin. They are 6, 4 and 2 years old respectively. The Petitioner’s employment status is unknown whilst the Respondent is a public servant. The Petitioner is 34 years old and the Respondent is 37 years old.

The Petitioner, on the grounds that the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation, filed a petition on the 10th day of February, 2021 for reliefs thereon. Per an amended petition filed on the 15th day of March, 2021, the Petitioner is seeking the following reliefs:

i. That the said marriage be dissolved.

ii. That the Petitioner be granted custody of the three children of the marriage, with access to the Respondent.
