SUMMARY JUDGMENT
The Plaintiff on 3rd October, 2018, instituted an action against the Defendant for the following reliefs:
a) An order for the payment of the sum 18,103.54 Ghana Cedis being the total sum owed to the Plaintiff by the Defendant Company as at March, 2018.
b) Interest on the sum of 18,103.54 Ghana Cedis at the prevailing commercial rate from March, 2018.
c) Damages for breach of contract.
d) Legal costs.
e) Any other order or orders as the Court may deem fit.
The gravamen of the Plaintiff’s claim is contained in paragraphs 3 to 15 of the Statement of Claim, a summation of which is as follows:
According to the Plaintiff, she was introduced to an investment policy by the officers of the Defendant Company sometime in 2017. The Plaintiff also states that under the terms of the investment policy, she was to receive an annual interest rate of 27.5% interest at the end of maturity date.
