JUDGMENT

 ADJEI, J.

The Applicant brought the suit under articles 18 and 21 of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana and Order 67 Rule 1 of the High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2004 (C.I.47 claiming for the following reliefs:

“(a) A declaration that the seizure and/or detention of properties and the locking up of the shop at Kaneshie belonging to the applicant by the Respondents is unlawful and a breach of his fundamental human rights guaranteed by Article 18 of the 1992 Constitution.

(b) An Order in the nature of Mandamus directed at the Respondents to release applicant’s properties unlawfully detained by the Respondents and for the reopening of the shop at Kaneshie owned by the Applicant.

(c) A declaration that the detention of the Applicant for a period exceeding 48 hours is unlawful and a breach of his fundamental human rights guaranteed by Article 21 of the 1992 Constitution.
