Judgement

ALI ABUBAKAR BABANDI GUMEL, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta Judicial Division delivered in charge No. FHC/AB/32C/2011 on 5th July, 2012.

The Appellant as the accused person, was brought to Court on a one count charge to wit:-

"That you Oladimeji Kayode, Adult, Male on or about 23rd day of March 2011 at No. 22 Zion Methodist Church, Ota in Ogun State and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court without lawful authority dealt in 3.8 kg of cannabis sativa otherwise known as India hemp, a narcotic drug similar to Cocaine, Heroin and ISD and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 11(c) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act Cap N30 Law of the Federation 2004."

Upon arraignment on 24th May, 2012, the Appellant pleaded guilty.
