JUDGMENT

ESSAH (MRS.), J.

Plaintiffs herein commenced the instant action against Defendants on the 29th of  October 2015. By an amended Statement of Claim they sought from this court the  following reliefs: 

i) Damages in the sum of GH¢10,000,000 for libel in respect of  

a. The words authorized by 2nd and 3rd Defendants and permitted and/or  caused by the 1st Defendant to be published in an article headed  “Akuffo Addo stabs son in-law – Kevin Okyere of Springfields and   Westland Alliance Ltd fame” on pages 2 and 4 of The aL-Hajj  Newspaper vol. 5 No. 70 dated Tuesday September 29th 2015. 

b. Words authorized by 2nd and 3rd Defendants and permitted and or  caused by 1st Defendant to be published in an article “Nana Addo’s Boy  Kevin Okyere on Interpol Radar – As NPP Targets Lordina and JDM” on pages 2 and 5 of The Al-Hajj Newspaper in vol. 5 No 71 dated  Thursday October 1st 2015 caption.
