HABEEB ADEWALE OLUMUYIWA ABIRU, J.C.A.(Delivering the Lead Ruling): The action leading up to the present application commenced in the Senior District Court of Plateau sitting in Jos wherein the Respondent filed recovery of premises proceedings against the Applicants. Judgment was entered in favour of the Respondent against the Applicants and consequent on which the Applicants filed an appeal to the High Court of Plateau State sitting in its appellate Division. The High Court dismissed the appeal of the Applicants and affirmed the judgment of the Senior District Court in a considered judgment delivered on the 23rd of June 2017.
The Applicants were also dissatisfied with the judgment of the High Court and they have before this Court a motion on notice dated the 29th of November, 2017 and filed on the same day praying for:
i. An order of this Honorable Court extending the time within which the Applicants may seek leave of this Honorable Court to appeal against the judgment of the Plateau Sā¦
