OBIETONBARA O. DANIEL-KALIO, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The appeal is in respect of the Judgment of the lower Court in respect of destruction of property. The Respondent in this appeal was the plaintiff at the lower Court. From his statement of claim, it is gathered that the Respondent, a politician who was once a councilor was a supporter of one Hon. Sani Dabai who came to the Respondent's Community Kandarawa on campaign for a seat in the National Assembly. The Appellants according to the Statement of Claim were not supporters of Hon Sani Dabai and threatened to disrupt his campaign. The Respondent appealed to them not to do so. After the campaign, the Respondent accompanied the said Hon. Sani Dabai to a neighboring village on further campaign. Later he got to hear that the Appellants had destroyed his house and burnt it down and had also killed his sheep and other domestic animals.
