BIOBELE ABRAHAM GEORGEWILL, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the High Court of Lagos State, Coram: L. A. Okunnu J., in Suit No. ID/1161/2004: Veronica Lawani and Anor V. Mrs. Risikatu Grillo and Ors., delivered on 9/6/2010, in which some of the claims of the 1st - 7th Respondents as Claimants against the Appellants and 8th - 9th Respondents as Defendants were granted and the counter claim of the 8th Respondent was dismissed.
The Appellants were thoroughly dissatisfied with the said judgment and had promptly appealed to this Court vide their Notice of Appeal filed on 30/6/2010 on two grounds of appeal at Pages 581 - 585 of the Record of Appeal. The Record of Appeal was transmitted to this Court on 25/9/2013 but deemed properly transmitted on 13/5/2015.
