Judgement

The Plaintiffs sued the defendants for the following reliefs:

“a. A declaration by this Honourable Court that the detention of the Plaintiffs in the specially constructed cells of the 2nd Defendant at Abeka Lapaz, Accra and of the 1st Plaintiff at the Ministries Police Station, Accra at the behest of the 1st Defendant herein constitutes an act of unlawful imprisonment, an abuse of their fundamental human rights and a derogation of their dignity by the Defendants.

b. An order of this Honourable Court directed at the Defendants herein for general, aggravated and exemplary damages for the unlawful imprisonment of the Plaintiffs in the cells of the 2nd Defendant at Abeka Lapaz and at the Ministries Police Station.

c. An order of this Honourable Court directed at the 1st Defendant herein to furnish the Plaintiffs with copies of the loan agreements executed between Plaintiffs and the 1st Defendant for the loan of GHC 30,000.00 each which was advanced to the Plaint…
