<p>JOSEPH EYO EKANEM, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the ruling of the High Court of Nasarawa State sitting in Lafia (the lower Court) Coram John A. Viko, J, delivered on 4/12/2015 in suit No. NSD/LF77/2013. In the ruling, the lower Court overruled the objection of the appellants challenging the competence of the suit filed by the respondent on ground of lack of jurisdiction. Aggrieved by the ruling, the appellants filed an appeal against the same to this Court.</p><p>The relevant facts of the case leading to this appeal are that the respondent is/was a civil servant on Grade level 15 with the 1st appellant as the head of its Pharmacy Department. The appellants issued the respondent a query on 31/5/2012. He was also issued with a letter dated 4/6/2012 suspending him from work.
