MOHAMMED LAWAL GARBA, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The late Respondent's husband; Mr. U. Eshiet was an employee of the Appellant whose appointment was terminated, as a result of which he instituted suit No: LD/5715/95 before the High Court of Lagos State and claimed against the Appellant as follows: -

(i) A declaration that the purported termination of appointment of the Plaintiff contained in Defendant's letter of 13th October, 1994 is wrongful, unlawful, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.

(ii) N4,386,543.60 (Four Million Three Hundred and Eighty Six Thousand Five Hundred and Forty Three Naira Sixth Kobo) being the least salaries and allowance Plaintiff would have received until retirement.

(iii) N2,000,000,00 (Two Million Naira) damages for the unlawful termination of appointment.

(iv) Injunction restraining the Defendant from laying claim to Plaintiff's house at House 38, NNPC Staff Quarters, Satellite Town, Lagos.
