JAMILU YAMMAMA TUKUR, JCA (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the High Court of Lagos State in Charge No: ID/416C/2O13, delivered on 22nd February, 2016, by Honourable Justice S.S. Ogunsanya against the Appellant.

The material facts of the case culminating in this appeal are that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences commission acting on a complaint from the Indian High Commission that there was an influx of Nigerian Applicants applying for visa to India with forged documents and on the belief that the Appellant and other Persons were involved in the aforesaid criminal activities revolving around the forgery, filed a further Amended Information dated 5th December, 2014, containing eight counts, with four of the counts thereof charging the Appellant with conspiracy to corruptly and knowingly give false documents to an agent with the intent to mislead his principal contrary to Section 26(1)(c) and punishable under Sections 1…
