ABDU ABOKI, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the decision of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, sitting at Jabi Abuja, hereinafter called The Trial Court delivered on the 4th day of October, 2016, Coram: Hon. Danladi Yakubu Umar (Chairman) and Hon. Williams Atedze Agwadza (Member).

The Appellant herein was on trial before the Tribunal on a one count charge alleging false declaration of assets contrary to Section 15 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, Cap C15, LFN 2007.

The case of the Prosecution, as can be gleaned from the Record of Appeal, is that in the course of an investigation triggered by intelligence and search conducted at the federal Capital Territory Lands Registry, it was discovered that Plot 2057 Asokoro District, which is in the name of the Appellant was not declared by the Appellant on 26th September, 2007 on assumption of office as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and on 29th June, 2011 when he left the office.
