Judgement

J U D G M E N T 

Prince Odame (hereinafter called the Petitioner) and Mary Afi Koranteng (hereinafter called the Respondent) were married under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap 127) (Rev. 1951) on the 16th day of July, 2006 at the Faith Community Congregation, Kokomlemle, Accra. After the marriage, the parties co-habited at  Dome, Accra. 

The marriage did not produce an issue. However, the Petitioner had one issue before the marriage from a previous relationship. Per the petition filed on the 28th day of October, 2014, the Petitioner is praying for the following reliefs: 

i. That the marriage celebrated between the parties be dissolved.

ii. That the Respondent be ordered to pay cost of and incidental to this suit.

The Respondent filed an Answer on the 24th day of November, 2004. She averred that the marriage has been marred by the absence of real love, non commitment to the marriage by the Petitioner who throughout the marriage has shown gross disregard to the sensibilities of the Responden…
