THE REPUBLIC V. CHRAJ AND TWO OTHERS; EX PARTE: BENJAMIN YIN ABUDU

JUDGMENT

Per the amended motion on notice for judicial review (pursuant to leave granted on 3^rd November, 2016, by this Court differently constituted) filed on 8^th November, 2016, the Applicant seeks the following reliefs:

a. An order to compel the 1^st Respondent to take action to enforce its decision dated 8^th April, 2015, against the 2^nd Respondent in accordance with Section 18 of Act 456 or in the alternative.

b. An order for the Applicant to directly enforce the decision against the 2^nd Respondent.

The specific relief by way of judicial review, although not expressly stated, is in the nature of mandamus having regard to the import of Relief (a) of the application. The plaint of the Applicant, from his thirty-three paragraphed affidavit in support of the application, is as follows:

That he is an ex-police officer of the Ghana police service who was enlisted in the Ghana police service in 1972. That he rose through the ranks to the position of Assistant-Superintendent of police in 2005.
