RULING
This is an application to confiscate Plot No. 2A Mango close, Dansoman, Accra, property of the respondent herein to the state, in accordance with Sections 46, 47, 48, 49 and 51 of the Economic and Organised Crime Office Act, 2010, (Act 804), which is opposed to by the respondents’ lawful attorney and the claimant herein.
The facts of this case are that, somewhere in 2011, the applicant was arrested by the security agencies for being a manager of a Ghana-based heroin trafficking organization response for illegally importing into the United States of America multiple kilograms of heroin. Subsequently, the respondent with some of his ring leaders were extradited to the United States of America to stand trial.
