JUDGMENT

This is an appeal from the ruling of the High Court, Ho dismissing the Defendant/Appellant’s motion for the Plaintiff/Respondent’s Writ of Summons to be set aside for want of jurisdiction or for same to be referred to the Chief Justice for transfer from Ho to Accra for want of jurisdiction. The parties are simply to be referred to as the plaintiff and defendant in this judgment.

The relief the plaintiff sought in the High Court was as follows:

1. A declaration that by law the Plaintiff was to do a maximum one year house job to qualify him for a permanent registration by the Defendant.
2. A declaration that Defendant’s refusal to grant the Plaintiff a permanent registration was unlawful.  
3. An order directed at the Defendant to grant the Plaintiff a permanent Registration to enable him practice medicine in Ghana as a member of the Ghana Medical and Dental Council.
