RULING

Before me is a motion on notice invoking the inherent jurisdiction of this Court for an order to set aside the orders contained in the ruling of this Court differently constituted. The said ruling is dated 23 February, 2021.

Awulae Angama Tu-Agyan and Nana Hima Dekyi XI, the Applicants herein are praying the court to set aside the 23 February, 2021 orders of the Court as same is void. The application is anchored on the following grounds:

(a) Breach of the rules of natural justice.

(b) Want of jurisdiction.

(c) Error of law clearly manifest on the record.

The background facts leading to this application are that on 6 October, 2020 the Western Region House of Chiefs held elections to elect chiefs for the positions of President, Vice President and Elected Representatives to the National House of Chiefs under the supervision of the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Ghana.
