(Delivering the Leading Judgment): </span></strong><span style="background-color: transparent">This is an appeal against the ruling of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja presided over by Hon. Justice Y. Halilu in suit No FCT/HC/CV/2018/18 delivered on the 4th day of April, 2019. </span></p><p><strong><span style="background-color: transparent">BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE </span></strong></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent">The Appellant (Claimant) before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja commenced an action under the undefended list procedure against the Respondent (Defendant) vide a writ of summons dated 13th June, 2018 claiming as follows: </span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent">i. An order directing the defendant to pay the sum of N25,215,258.07(twenty-five million, two hundred and fifteen thousand two hundred and fifty-eight Naira, seven kobo) to the claimant being the money owed by the defendant to the claimant being payment of the outstanding advert debts. </span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent">ii.
