Judgement
OGUNBlYI JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is a petition filed by Mr. Anthony Olufunso Williams, challengingthe election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the first respondent on the ground of non qualification educationally and disqualification under section 182 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999. At pages 1 - 7 of the record, the petitioner’s petition among others include the following: Your petitioner Mr. Anthony Olufunso Williams, was a candidate at the above election, had a right to contest and vote and claims to have had a right to be returned or elected at the said election and he is a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party of Nigeria (PDP) and was sponsored by PDP for the said election.
Your petitioner states that the election was held on 29 April 2003, when he the petitioner with the party symbol of PDP, BolaAhmed Tinubu(the 1st respondent) with the party symbol ofAD, Kamoru Lanre Rasaki with the party symbol of ANPP,
