ABDULLAHI YUSUF V. THE STATE

MOHAMMED BABA IDRIS, JSC (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Kaduna Judicial Division delivered CORAM Honourable Justice Abdu Aboki, JCA, Honourable Justice Uwani Musa Abba Aji, JCA and Honourable Justice Habeeb Adewale Olumuyiwa Abiru, JCA on the 26th day of May, 2015, wherein the court below unanimously dismissed the Appellant's appeal from the High Court of Katsina State and affirmed the Appellant's conviction by the trial court.

The Appellant was arraigned before the High Court of Katsina State on a one count charge which is reproduced hereunder as follows:
