1. Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Safe Manning) Regulations.

2. Interpretation

In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires—"administration" means the Government of the Party whose flag the ship is entitled to fly;"Authority" means the Kenya Maritime Authority;"Company" means the owner of a ship and includes the manager, or the bareboat charterer or any other person or organization, who has assumed the responsibility for operation of the ship from the shipowner and who, and agreed to take over all the duties and responsibilities imposed on the company by these regulations;"Organisation" means the International Maritime Organization;"STCW Code" means the Seafarers" Training, Certificati…
